Blind Man Missing During Trip on Amtrak Train

Washington DC – The family of 33-year-old Mitchell Malik Smith says he boarded a train at Union Station. He was headed to Birmingham, Ala., a trip he had taken many times before. Somehow he ended up on a train bound for New Orleans. A woman from Virginia who sat across the aisle from Smith said she heard Amtrak workers tell him he could get off at Charlotte and take another train several hours later to Birmingham.
