Florida - A teacher at the Greenwood School has been arrested after boys and men were secretly recorded going to the bathroom at Regal Cinemas in Jacksonville. Joshua Michael Olsen, 28, is charged with voyeurism and video voyeurism. He has been placed on administrative suspension from his job at Greenwood. Florida - Police in Florida said a pizza driver fired shots into a Pizza Hut restaurant after an argument with his brother, who is also a delivery driver, over $3. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said Christopher Ortolani, 29, announced during the argument with his brother, Derrick, he was going to retrieve his gun from his car and bring it into the restaurant to shoot him.  More…

Florida - Police say they do not know why a motorist drove his car off the Courtney Campbell Parkway and resisted efforts to pull him out of the water. “He deliberately drove his car off the boat ramp. Florida - A couple were caught having sex outside a convenience store called Good To Go, Florida sheriff’s deputies said. George Pomfret, 49, and Brenda Prothero, 48, both of Fort Myers, were arrested and charged with indecent exposure. Teenage Boys Behind Bars in Plot to Kill Mother

Florida - Two teenage friends are in jail in Florida after their alleged plot to murder one of the boys’ mothers went awry. Prosecutors in Miami say they plan to try Erik Stone, 15, as an adult for helping concoct the scheme to kill his mother, Eliana Poveda, with a steak knife. Authorities say Stone enlisted his 13-year-old friend Marko Lazovic to stab Poveda. The plot failed when the knife broke during the attack, leaving Poveda with just a stab wound on her chin. More…

Girl Poses As 71-Year-Old To Save On Tuition

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Florida - Police said a Florida Atlantic University student posed as an elderly woman to save on tuition. FAU police have filed criminal charges against former student Patricia Brandao. Police said she used the used the Social Security number of a 71-year-old woman. Brandao graduated three years ago, but school officials discovered the alleged ID theft when Brandao requested that her Social Security number be changed on transcripts sent to two medical schools.

Man, 93, and woman, 89, tie the knot in Florida

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – One Florida couple is starting married life with 182 years of experience between them. Ebenezer Rose, 93, wed 89-year-old Monica Hayden on Sunday in West Palm Beach. The couple said they decided to get married after a brief courtship. Rose said he told Hayden that "each of us is living a lonely life. Why not get married?"

The couple first met in church about 20 years ago.

Rose's first wife died about four years ago after 58 years of marriage. Hayden is twice-widowed.

Five inch hissing cockroaches could be released in Florida

ORLANDO, Florida - Florida researchers say a hissing cockroach that grows as big as 5 inches inadvertently could be released in the state and, if so, would thrive.

Odd News-Board keeps Klan leader's name at high school

JACKSONVILLE, Florida - A Florida school board voted late Monday night to keep the name of a Confederate general and early Ku Klux Klan leader at a majority black high school, despite opposition from a black board member who said the school's namesake was a "terrorist and racist." After hearing about three hours of public comments, Duval County School Board members voted 5-2 to the retain the name of Nathan Bedford Forrest High School. Man Clocked Doing 163 mph in a 45 mph zone

JACKSONVILLE, Florida - A man from Jacksonville who has a long list of traffic violations is facing a long list of new charges after getting clocked going 163 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone. Police turned to see a pickup truck flying down the highway, weaving from lane to lane. The driver got off at Duval Street (not far from the Duval County Jail where he is now), ran a red light, drove the wrong way down another street before stopping in the middle of the road. The driver got out of his truck, put his hands in the air, saying, "I was wrong," and "I'm drunk."

Odd News-'Bra Bandit' strikes again in southwest Florida

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - There's a bra bandit on the loose in southwest Florida. The Lee County Sheriff's Office was searching for an individual they say stole 160 bras valued at nearly $6,000 on Thursday from a Victoria Secret store, the latest in a string of bra burglaries in the area.

Since February, authorities say 452 bras valued at nearly $19,000 have been stolen from two of the chain's southwest Florida locations. Six different bra thefts at the stores have been reported during that time.

Investigators said a female customer walked into the store Thursday and immediately went to a four-drawer cabinet with new bras of the PINK brand name. The store manager told deputies the woman waited until employees were busy helping customers and then thrust the bras into a bag and exited the store.
