Man steals thousands of newspapers to hide friend’s arrest


Colorado - A man who acknowledged stealing thousands of free copies of a Colorado resort town’s two daily newspapers because his friend was named in police blotters has made a public apology. The Aspen Daily News and The Aspen Times both printed an apology letter Friday from 23-year-old Mitchell Reed of Carbondale, who agreed to write the apology to avoid criminal theft charges....More

Police: Barefoot thief steals shoes for left feet

Naked man steals truck and drives into a ditch

ATHENS, Ala. (AP) -- Authorities said a naked man was arrested after he allegedly stole a truck and and drove it into a ditch on Thursday. Chief Investigator Stanley McNatt said the man was shouting "somebody's trying to kill me" when he appeared in an Ardmore neighborhood. Dumb Crook: Steals $11 hammer to steal $9 bottle of wine


SPOKANE VALLEY, Washington - A 31-year-old Veradale man was arrested Sunday night after he purchased an $11 hammer and used it to steal a $9 bottle of wine.
Muoi Van Nguyen was booked into the Spokane County Jail on two counts of Second Degree Burglary and single counts of Second Degree Malicious Mischief, Third Degree Theft and Possession of Burglary Tools.
